This page contains the official policy statements of Parker-Holsman Co. which may have an affect on our clients (both present and future). They are listed in alphabetical order according to the first word in the heading.
Advertisements on our website: Advertisements from other companies, individuals, or organizations will not appear on any page of the Parker-Holsman Co. website. This policy does not apply to properties we manage or to properties for which we are the sales agent. Photograph and content credits with regard to copyrighted material are not considered advertisements.
Bribes, kick-backs, etc.: Parker-Holsman Co. and its employees will not accept money or expensive gifts from vendors. Not at Christmas. Not when we sign a big contract. Not when we sign a little contract. Never.
Discrimination with regard to employment: It is the policy of Parker-Holsman Co. to administer its personnel policies without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, or age. These policies include, but are not limited to, employment, advertising, recruitment, hiring, job assignment, supervision, training, promotion, compensation, benefits, business travel, educational opportunities, recreational activities, use of company facilities, and all conditions or privileges of employment.
We expect this policy to be extended by our employees to our clients. Moreover, we will not cooperate with any client who wishes to discriminate against their residents, tenants, or employees.
Discrimination with regard to housing: In compliance with federal, state, and local laws, Parker-Holsman Co. does not discriminate with regard to housing on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender (sex), familial status, physical or mental handicap, ancestry, age (between 40 and 70 years), marital status, military discharge, sexual orientation, or lawful source of income.
We expect this policy to be extended by our employees to our clients. Moreover, we will not cooperate with any client who wishes to discriminate against their residents, tenants, or employees.
Harassment: We expect all clients, tenants, employees, and vendors to be treated with respect and dignity. Inappropriate behavior on the part of any employee or client will not be tolerated. This includes any form of harassment, whether verbal or physical, flagrant or subtle.
Sexual harrassment is not limited to unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors. It includes any verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature that is used as the basis for a business decision (renting someone an apartment or accepting a vendor's proposal for instance) or that unreasonably interferes with someone's job performance or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment. Sexual harassment is not only performed by men.
Conduct or comments of a harassing nature regarding race, age, color, religion, national origin, or disability will also not be tolerated.
Hosting other websites: The Parker-Holsman Co. domain name (www.parkerholsman.com) will not be used to host websites of other companies, individuals, or organizations.
